Privacy Policy

How we protect your personal information — and, above all, children's information.

Last updated: policy to be ratified by the ministry board

This policy describes how Save a Future Ministries handles personal data. Specific data-protection registrations and the appointed data-protection contact are published once supplied by the ministry: [CONTENT TO BE PROVIDED].

1. Information we collect

When you sponsor a child, give a gift, apply to volunteer, partner with us or send a message, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number, country and the content of your communication. When you create a sponsor account we also store a securely hashed password — never the password itself.

Donation records store the gift amount, currency, purpose, chosen payment method and a payment reference. We do not collect or store card numbers, mobile-money PINs or bank credentials on this platform; payments completed through external providers are governed by those providers' own policies.

2. Children's information — our highest protection

Children's data is held in a separate, private record that is structurally isolated from the public website. Only a deliberately curated public profile — display name, age, community and an approved description — can ever appear publicly.

We never publish a child's full legal name, date of birth, exact location, school, medical details or family circumstances. Photographs are published only with documented guardian consent, reviewed through our safeguarding process, and can be withdrawn at any time. Letters between sponsors and children pass through moderation and are handled by authorized staff only.

3. How we use information

We use your details to administer sponsorships and gifts, send receipts and updates, communicate about programs you have asked about, and meet legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

4. Access, security and retention

Access to sensitive records is role-restricted to authorized staff, and significant actions are recorded in an audit trail. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with industry-standard protections.

Sponsor and donor records are retained for the period required by accounting and charity law; children's safeguarding records are retained according to our safeguarding policy. You may request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time via the contact page, subject to legal retention duties.

5. Cookies

This platform uses a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in securely. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
