1. Our commitment
Every child is made in the image of God and deserves absolute protection. We follow the principle that a child's safety always outranks the ministry's fundraising, publicity or convenience. No photograph, story or detail is worth a child's dignity or safety.
2. What we never publish
Public child profiles never include: full legal names, dates of birth, home locations, school names, medical details, family circumstances or any information that could allow a child to be identified, contacted or groomed. Only safeguarding-approved public profiles — display name, age band, community and an approved description — can appear on the website.
3. Consent and image control
Every photo and story requires documented guardian consent, recorded with its scope and expiry. Consent can be granted, declined, expired or revoked — and revocation removes the image from public view. Every image passes through an approval workflow before it can be published, and approvals are audit-logged by name and time.
4. Safe communication
All letters between sponsors and children pass through staff moderation before delivery. Communication that contains personal contact details, requests for secrecy, money requests or any safeguarding concern is blocked and escalated. Sponsors' access to child information is limited to the child they sponsor.
5. Staff and volunteer vetting
Everyone who works with children — staff and volunteers — is screened through references and criminal-background checks appropriate to their role, receives safeguarding training, and serves under ongoing supervision. Volunteers apply through this website and are never placed with children before review.
6. Reporting concerns
Concerns can be raised through the contact page and are routed to the safeguarding officer. Every concern is recorded, triaged by severity, investigated and resolved through a documented process — and every step is preserved in an audit trail. We cooperate fully with statutory authorities.
