Patricia leads a child-headed home. In 2013, her mother left for work in South Sudan and till today she has never been seen. Her father became a drunkard and left the home abandoning all the responsibility of a home to this young girl. It has been a struggle for the brave girl to do hard labor and support the family. She has not been able to go to school because she has failed to raise the school fees that the school demands. She is determined to continue her education if a sponsor can help her. Her dream is to become a Nurse.

Joshua is a son of local Pastor in our Upendo ministries churches and he comes from a family of five siblings. As a pastor here in Busia, you work volunteering with no pay at the end of the month. The pastor together with his wife struggle with school to take Joshua to school. Many terms Joshua stays at home for long as the pastor struggles to find money to pay school fees for their son. It is a hard job to a pastor and receives no salary and yet you have to support your family and pay school fees. Joshua is a bright boy who longs for studying with promising performances yet the family income is not enough to support. Cannah comes from a family where both parents are Pastors with a local community church that can not pay a salary to a pastor. The pastors have faithfully served the community and God with humility and faithfulness. However, they face the challenge of educating their children. Blessing is blessed to have her mother. She is a single mother who is struggling to raise her two children. After Doreen accepted the Lord Jesus the husband abandoned her with two children and married another wife. This single mother works as a shop attendant with very little income to sustain a family and not able to meet the most basic needs of the children. Blessing has been struggling with school fees and she approached our organization for help. After accessing we noticed that the family needs help if the children will attain an education.
